About Us

Syreeta Jackson-clarinet

Syreeta is a clarinetist from Hope Mills, North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from UNCP, where she performed with the Concert Band and Orchestra. She also performed in the Methodist University Band. Syreeta received her Master of Arts in Music Education in 2015. Syreeta has performed with the "Band of Directors" jazz ensemble of Robeson County and the Fayetteville Symphonic Band. Ms. Jackson teaches music privately. She is the former band director at West Hoke Middle School. Currently, Ms. Jackson teaches elementary music in Robeson County.
Kimberle McGill-French Horn

Kim is from Pittsburgh, PA. She studied music performance at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She played with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony throughout high school and college. Kim was principal horn with the WVU Community Orchestra in Morgantown, WV for 9 years. Since 2011, she has been a horn section member of the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. She is also a member of the newly created Wilmington Symphonic Winds. She is also a member of the Horns of the Sandhills. Kim has performed with professionals such as Linda Lavin, Paul Stookey (from Peter Paul and Mary), and Sister Hazel. She teaches privately and works as a perfusionist in Lumberton, NC for Duke Medicine.

Danielle Sabol-oboe

Danielle Sabol has been a music educator for almost two decades. She has spent all of those years at the same middle school in North Carolina. During her time as the band director at Pembroke Middle School, she has taken on many roles. She has coached, mentored, created curriculums, handled public relations, and been the webmaster. Danielle is originally from Masury, Ohio, which is a little town near Youngstown, Ohio (home of Youngstown State University). Danielle received her Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2003 from Youngstown State and her Master of Arts from UNCP in 2008. Danielle has been playing the oboe for more than twenty-five years and has performed with professional orchestras up and down the East Coast. 
Eric Swenson-bassoon

Eric is a bassoonist originally from Texas. He played bassoon in high school and in concert band at the collegiate level. Eric attended Rhode Island College, where he graduated with a degree in General Studies. Mr. Swenson has performed with the UNCP Concert Band and the Fayetteville International Youth Orchestra.  He has enjoyed performing as an amateur with a variety of musicians throughout his life, including early music ensembles. Eric is retired from a career in electronics and Information Technology.  He resides in Fairmont, NC, and is an active member of his church.

Carlos Tyson-flute

Carlos Tyson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education. He performed with the UNCP Concert Band and the Methodist University Concert Band. Mr. Tyson is a composer and has composed many original pieces for Bella Venti. Carlos has taught music and band at Luther Jerald Middle School in Fayetteville. Currently, he is an elementary music teacher. Mr. Tyson is actively involved in local Cub Scouts, of which his son is a part.
